Saturday, 11th August is the date for the ever popular Portofino Fashion Parade. Held at the Anglican Church Hall, Salerno St, Isle of Capri. Tickets only $10 which includes fashion parade, afternoon tea and entertainment including lucky door prize and raffles. Parade starts at 1.30 with doors open from 12.30pm.
- The Big Sing comes to the Gold Coast

The successful Big Sing event for choirs and singers held in Brisbane annually is coming to the Gold Coast. This event will be held at the Helensvale Cultural Centre on Sunday 20th May, 2018 commencing 8.30am. Cost will be $20 adult, $10 concession which will include music, morning tea, lunch and concert. This event will be hosted by Harmony in Paradise.
Workshops will be run by Dr James Cuskelly who is a highly regarded choral conductor and clinician who regularly leads choral festivals and workshops. Joining him will be Astrid Jorgensen, award winning choral composer and conductor and is the Head of Voice at Mt Alvernia College.

This Sunday we had our first official Commonwealth Games booking. Pictured here with some of our choir is one of Welsh Commonwealth Games Team Managers. We sang some Australiana songs to a very appreciative Welsh audience. We are all looking forward to our next Games booking.
- Qld Opera Workshop

6 of our members have just participated in the Qld Opera Workshop held at the Gold Coast Arts Centre. This Workshop, which was held over two days culminated with a concert to showcase our new and improved talents. All who participated agreed that it was particarly helpful on many levels and thoroughbly enjoyable.

Lovely invitation from St Kevin's to perform at their school. We did a great 30 minute set which included some ballads, toe tapping songs and the all time favourite Australiana songs. Good time was had by all.

What a great year!- Successful Portofino Fashion Parade and concert
- 2 x family and friends concerts both raising money for Anglican Crisis Care Charity
- Gold Coast City Council Citizenship ceremony engagements
- Great social times including ballet, theatre and general fun events
- Participation in the BreaKaleg Artsfest contest and performance as 2014 winners of the event
- Performances across the Gold Coast including several nursing homes which is most appreciated by their residents

Harmony in Paradise has made the big and exciting leap to become a community group of singers. We are all very excited as this change gives us more scope to sing a wider variety of music. Our Director Else Shepherd and Vicki Hurley are putting together a really exciting repetoire for us to enjoy.
With our new direction comes some lovely new members and as always we have an emphasis on not just the music but also the enjoyment of new friendships.
Look out Gold Coast here we come to entertain you!

Our 2014 Fashion Parade was the biggest and best ever! There was great fashion, yummy food and fabulous entertainment. We have received fabulous feedback from our sold out crowd.
